More weddings this month, one being a completely new venue to the band – Tullie House, Carlisle. Will update with some pictures later on this month.

New testimonial just in.....

Dear Stephen and the rest of Eden Sound,

Thank you so much for the superb entertainment you provided at our wedding. We are still talking about the wonderful evening and enjoyment of dancing and singing you inspired. Our niece was mesmerised, we hope you enjoyed the night and the dance moves! Many guests have commented on how good you were and that you were the best band and night out they have had in ages.

We have definitely recommended your services to family and friends. We have asked the hotel and the wedding planner to add you to the list of people they recommend.

We can not thank you enough for the wonderful performance you provided.

Best wishes,

Jen and Bart

September sees the band rehearsing new material for our Christmas nights.

Back as a four piece for our Calvert Trust Charity event at the Low Wood Hotel Windermere. A very successful evening with over £18,000 raised during a charity auction on the night. A little different for the band as we played one set straight through rather than our usual 2 sets of 45 minutes, as things had overran a little. Thanks again to the Calvert Trust for booking us – hope to see you again soon.

August 2014 - Update

Another great night for the band, this time at the Rampsbeck Hotel Ullswater. The night had a very international feel with many guests travelling from mainland Europe. Although only a small party of guests, the dance floor was busy all night as you can see from the photos. All the very best to Jen and Bart - thanks for booking the band. The package chosen for this event was Buffalo Party as a three piece band with DJ/disco.

August 2014

Updating this on 3rd August. Yesterday we played the fabulous Armathwaite Hall. Bassenthwaite. Quite a large party of people for Euan and Lisa’s wedding. A quick pic of the new bride and groom.

Word seems to be spreading about Buffalo Party as the couple both live in Edinburgh and the band were recommended to them by friends who had previously booked us. Can’t get a better recommendation than word of mouth.

Next stop in August, Rampsbeck hotel, Ullswater, for a small private wedding for 30 or so guests. This is a great venue, We have played here before, The hotel is down by the waterside . We will be out with the smaller three piece line up for this gig, I’ll upload some pics later this month.

July 2014

Well finally a week’s let up in bookings to recuperate and update the Edensound web site. This year’s turned into one of our busiest in the last few years. The new line up has gained lots of new friends and support from hotels and venues alike. 2015 promises to be a very busy year for Edensound. Over the last few months we have visited some regular familiar wedding venues and some that are totally new to us.

Pub gigs included the Cranemakers in Carlisle and the Lounge in Penrith, a few private functions around the Lakes and two marquee weddings in the South Lakes, one in Windermere and the other at Silverdale. Both weddings were blessed with glorious weather and we played with the marquee doors open to the stars. What a couple of memorable gigs. Both of these weddings were relatively big affairs with 300+ guests for the evening reception, ……. some crazy dancing.

June 2014

Busiest month of the year so far for both Edensound disco and Buffalo Party. Notable weddings were at the stunning Langdale Chase Windermere where we have probably provided wedding entertainment more times than any other Lake District venue and the Old Hall Ulverston with open views right over the estuary. John our guitarist gave in to temptation with a new Paul Reed Smith guitar that sounds amazing, or is it the playing that makes it amazing. Anyways….

May 2014

A mixture of wedding and local gigs this month. Regulars included the Roundthorn Hotel in Penrith and the Swan Hotal at Newby Bridge. New venues this month for the band included Walkabout in Carlisle and the C Club Penrith. Where we got to play alongside the Penrith brass / swing band. What a treat.

April 2014

This month the band played a handful of local gigs and rehearsed solidly preparing new material for the coming wedding season. We have now updated the set list for 2014 with several new tracks to draw from. Our recent cover of “Happy” by Pharell Williams has been going down great and looks to be a wedding favourite.

March 2014

Booking enquiries for weddings and functions are coming in daily. Unfortunately we aren't available to play every event. Apologies to Sedburgh School for not being able to play at your next garden party. We do, however, still have dates available for 2014. Please get in contact if you are looking for wedding entertainment in the Lakes.

A belated thank you for your performance in Penrith. I have received countless comments as to how good the band were especially the brilliant lead singer! Please can I book you to perform on our terrace at a garden party for 300 people?

14th February 2014

Big thanks to Stu and Hannah for a fantastic wedding at the Merewood Country House Hotel at Windermere last Saturday. We had a blast! We also bid a fond farewell to Dave Ivo for years of service. He's put down his Gibson, picked up his gold clock, pipe and slippers. We'll meet again.
Lovely thank you email in today from Stu and Hannah - glad you had such a good time:
Hi Stephen, I just want to thank you all for Saturday night. Everyone had a cracking time and commented what a great job the band and DJ did. If you could please thank Bruce as well we would be very grateful. Thanks again, Stu Homa.

February 2014

Thanks to Colin and Tracey for booking the band again for the third year running for Sedburgh School's Winter Ball. The event at North Lakes Hotel, Penrith, was very well attended and the dance floor was packed from the start. The band had a great night. They know how to party that crowd! Same again next year, we hope!
